I did not receive a wedding invitation, may I attend? The Friday evening worship service and the Saturday morning wedding ceremony are open to the public. Any person (or child) may attend these wedding events regardless of formal invitation. The only "invitation only" event is the downtown reception.
Who attends the rehearsal dinner? All ceremony participants, immediate family members, and early arrival out-of-town guests are invited to the rehearsal dinner. If you fit any of these categories and did not receive a rehearsal dinner insert in your wedding invitation, send an email to thepittsmurdockwedding@yahoo.com immediately.
May I bring a guest to the private wedding reception? Due to the capacity of the reception site and the reception cost, we are unable to honor additional guest requests for the reception. If your reception insert indicates one (1) adult, it does not include a guest. If your invitation indicates two (2) adults, it is intended for the persons indicated on the front of the envelope. Note: Only invited guests who called into the RSVP line will be admitted into the reception.
Do I go straight to the downtown reception after the wedding? If you confirmed your reception attendance through the reservation line, you are encouraged to go directly to the downtown reception site immediately following the ceremony.
Where do I sit at the wedding? Our wedding guests are welcome to sit on either side of the sanctuary. Only the reserved family sections will be divided by bride/groom. Guests who arrive after 10:50 am will be directed to the church balcony, Reserved family seating ends at 10:40 am.
Is there transportation available for out of town guests? There will be scheduled shuttle service from the wedding hotels (Courtyard Marriott and Marriott) to the church and reception site. To reserve a shuttle ride, email thepittsmurdockwedding@yahoo.com.
May I bring my children to the reception? While children are welcome at the worship service and wedding ceremony, the reception is for adults only. Limited childcare is available for young children at a very low rate for reception guests only. Email thepittsmurdockwedding@yahoo.com for more information.
What is an appropriate gift for the couple? Visit our Registry link on this website for a list of items we've identified as recommended gifts. Of course, each guest is welcome to improvise. It would be helpful to include a gift receipt in the case of duplicates or multiples.
